Anti Deformation And Anti Cracking Fiberglass Geogrid Reinforced Geotextile

Fiberglass/polyester reinforcing geocomposite is the geocomposite which comprises a high-strength, low-strain reinforcement grid with extra aperture size and a flexible nonwoven fabric bonded to the upper face. The fiberglass/ polyester yarns with high tensile strength and low creep performs the function of reinforcement and the nonwoven performs the functions of separation, filtration and drainage.

Fiberglass grid enhances geotextile effect

Fiberglass grid reinforced geotextile is a new type of geotextile that combines mechanical reinforcement and functional protection by compounding high-strength fiberglass grid with geotextile.

Enhanced mechanical properties

1. Improved tensile strength

The high strength of the fiberglass grid (tensile strength 65-100KN) combined with the flexibility of the geotextile significantly improves the overall tensile capacity of the composite material and can withstand greater loads. For example, in asphalt pavement, the grid limits aggregate displacement and reduces rutting and fatigue cracking.

2. Anti-deformation and anti-cracking

The low elongation of the fiberglass grid (<3%) combined with the buffering effect of the geotextile can disperse stress and delay the expansion of reflective cracks. In the reconstruction of old roads, it can reduce the reflection of base cracks to the road surface.

Functional protection optimization

1. Drainage and anti-filtration

The permeability of geotextiles is combined with the mesh structure of the grid to enhance drainage efficiency and prevent water damage. For example, in retaining walls or dam projects, composite materials can isolate soil particles to avoid pore blockage.
